How We Fight Back – Saturday, March 4

Looking for a chance to make a difference in your community, but not sure how? Scared and anxious over the election of Donald Trump? Concerned about the future of your community, your friends, or your family?

Learn how to fight back on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 9:30 to 2:30 at Muhlenberg College.

State Representative Mike Schlossberg is sponsoring this conference and seminar geared towards those of you who want to learn how to fight back, but aren’t sure where to start. Hear from seasoned community activists, elected officials, representatives from minority groups and more. Initial content includes:

  • An overview of the Allentown and Lehigh Valley political scene.
  • Speeches from numerous local elected officials on the importance of activism and the best ways to impact the local political scene.
  • A VIP keynote speaker.
  • A panel discussion from local activist groups, and members of the minority community, on how all of us can best assist their causes.
  • An optional seminar on how to run for office.

Additionally, there will be a volunteer fair, to be attended by numerous non-profit groups. Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the local non-profit and activism scene, as well as volunteer for causes they are passionate about.

Lunch will be served.  Registration fee:  $10
