Climate March Pottstown

April 29, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

While thousands are marching in Washington, D.C., and across the United States and the world, we will be marching in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, to show the world and our leaders that we resist environmental threats to our planet, our communities, and our people.

We march in solidarity with the Climate March in Washington, D.C., to demonstrate public support for a clean, sustainable environment. Our goal is to bring attention to the climate crisis and related environmental problems that affect our communities.

We invite you to join the Pottstown Climate March on Saturday, April 29th, as we march to:

Advance solutions to the climate crisis.
Protect our right to clean air, water, land, and healthy communities.
Promote preservation of our natural landscape and wildlife.

Ensure public funds and investments are directed towards sustainable technologies that transition our world to a cleaner, renewable energy economy that works for all.
Encourage investment in and focus on environmental education.
Exercise our basic rights to protest and free speech.

Join us at 1:00 pm on East High Street next to The Hill School in Pottstown. Rally following the march will take place at Riverfront Park along the Schuylkill River. This event will take place rain or shine.
