Alternative Energy

Alternative energy is energy derived from nontraditional sources, such as compressed natural gas, solar, hydroelectric, hydrokinetic, geothermal, wind, and nuclear, that does not rely on the combustion of fossil fuels like coal and oil, and therefore emits little to no greenhouse gases. These alternative energy sources can drastically reduce the amount of carbon dioxide and other green house gases entering the atmosphere.
