LVSN Releases White Paper on Need for Regional Sustainability Network

The Lehigh Valley Sustainability Network has released a White Paper on the need for a regional sustainability network. This paper provides an in-depth look at the events leading up to the creation of the Network as well as detailed information on the Network’s structure. Also included is a review of proposed Network resources and a description of the Network’s working group structure. LVSN to Hold Press Conference

Please join us for a press conference on Thursday, May 12 at 11 AM as we announce the creation of the Lehigh Valley Sustainability Network. The event will be held in Room 135 at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley, PA 18034 in conjunction with the DVGBC-sponsored Green Schools Conference and Expo.

You are welcome to attend the Green Conference events immediately following the press announcement free of charge on behalf of the Green Building Council and the LVSN.

LVSN Workshop: April 12, 2011

The Lehigh Valley Sustainability Network took another step forward on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, with a workshop attended by 40 sustainability leaders from the Lehigh Valley. The group, under the guidance of Steering Committee Chairman Andrea Wittchen, divided into four working groups focused on strategy and leadership, outreach, government dialogue, and technology and resources. Using the results of last September’s Summit and building on the work that has been accomplished since then, each group brainstormed a list of targeted goals for the next 6-9 month time period. The next step is for each working group to meet to identify their top two priorities and create an action plan.
